Reflections on the River

Since 2018, Willamette Valley Hospice has offered our community the opportunity to celebrate, honor, and remember those who have died and are missing from our lives at the Reflections on the River event.

The 4th annual Reflections on the River will consist of two FREE events

• A live River Walk - Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 7:30 – 9:00 pm at Salem’s Riverfront Park. You are invited to join us for a self-paced walk and time of reflection. Personalized luminarias will line the paths of the park.

• Reflections on the River online broadcast - September 23, 2021 at 7:30 pm. This free, 45-minute community celebration is being created for anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one. We’ll honor our veterans with a flag ceremony, share words of inspiration, music from our music therapists, family experiences, and remember the Oregonians who have died from COVID-19 with a special tribute.

Check back for your opportunity to purchase a personalized luminaria for your loved one. Proceeds from luminaria donations will be used to provide grief support to the loved ones of hospice patients and free grief support groups to anyone in our community that has experienced the death of a loved one.

Sponsorship opportunities are available to support this community event. For more information, contact Theresa at donorservices@wvh.org.
